About us

Representing the Window Shading Industry since 1947.

Window Shading Association of Australia (WSAA) is the national membership association for Australia’s window shading industry.

About WSAA

Helping Australia’s window shading industry stay connected, informed, and well represented.

WSAA represents the people, businesses, and expertise that shape Australia’s window shading sector. The association brings together businesses of all sizes to strengthen the industry through advocacy, collaboration, and support.

Since our inception over 75 years ago, we have remained committed to supporting members with practical resources, industry standards, meaningful opportunities, and a voice on key national issues.

Our History

From a state-based association to a national industry body, our journey has continued to grow with the sector.

Founded in 1947 as the Venetian Blind Manufacturers’ Association of Queensland, the association evolved into a national body in the year 2000 under the name Blind Manufacturers’ Association of Australia.

In 2024, to reflect broader industry representation, the name was changed to the Window Shading Association of Australia.

The association now represents members across the full spectrum of the window shading industry, from small family businesses to large national companies.

WSAA is governed by a Board of Directors that brings strategic insight, industry experience, and a commitment to ethical leadership.
