The WSAA’s first state-based event for 2025 kicked off in true style on Thursday, 20 February, as more than 50 window shading professionals gathered at CB Co Brewing in Port Melbourne for the Brewing Industry Connections event.
The evening struck the perfect balance between informal networking and genuine industry engagement, creating an environment where members and non-members alike could unwind, exchange ideas, and strengthen relationships across the broader shading and manufacturing community.
Guests enjoyed an exclusive behind-the-scenes brewery tour, sampling locally crafted beers while taking part in thoughtful discussions about the latest trends shaping Australia’s window shading sector.
From automation and sustainability to Australian manufacturing and design innovation, the evening reflected WSAA’s growing reputation for bringing the industry together in meaningful and enjoyable ways.
There was a strong sense of camaraderie as attendees from across Victoria and beyond shared insights on challenges and opportunities facing the industry in 2025 — from supply chain changes to evolving consumer expectations around energy efficiency and aesthetics.
