Congratulations to the 2026 WSAA Award Winners

June 12, 2026

The inaugural WSAA Industry Awards recognised five member businesses whose work is raising the bar — in sustainability, innovation, community, manufacturing, and retail excellence.

On 11 June, the WSAA Gala Dinner, held at The Star, Gold Coast, became the stage for something new. The first ever WSAA Industry Awards drew a strong field of finalists across five categories, with judges noting the quality of submissions made every decision a genuine contest. Five winners were announced and a tradition was born.

WSAA CEO Wesley Fawaz said the awards mark a new chapter for the association. “This industry has always had businesses doing exceptional work. The WSAA Industry Awards exist to put a spotlight on that work, and to set a standard that others can aspire to. We’re proud to recognise our inaugural winners, and we look forward to building on this.

Community Impact Award Winner: Ricky Richards

The Community Impact Award recognises WSAA members who go beyond business as usual to deliver meaningful, lasting benefit to the communities and causes they support.

Nearly three decades of commitment to children’s hospitals, skin cancer research, and community health — with total charitable contributions now surpassing $500,000 across three long-term partnerships. Ricky Richards doesn’t give opportunistically. They give consistently, and they’ve built a culture around it. That’s what set them apart.

Product Sustainability Award Winner: Louvolite

The Product Sustainability Award recognises WSAA members who can clearly demonstrate a reduction in environmental impact through the design, manufacture, or delivery of a window shading product. It celebrates those who embed environmental responsibility into the product itself, not just the messaging around it.

Louvolite’s Carnival fabric range is made from 100% recycled polyester yarn sourced from post-consumer PET bottles, manufactured at a facility holding OEKO-TEX® STeP certification: one of the most rigorous standards in global textile production. It is the kind of product that makes sustainability a specification decision, not an afterthought.

The Louvolite team celebrate their award.

Product Innovation Award Winner: Louvretec Australia

The Product Innovation Award recognises a newly launched product that demonstrates originality and market relevance. One that addresses a genuine need and delivers measurable value to customers or the industry.

The 220/45 Alpine Blade solves a problem that has long frustrated architects working on multi-roof outdoor living projects — the inability to specify a single blade consistently across both opening and retractable roof systems. Louvretec’s solution delivers design cohesion that wasn’t previously possible and has already earned endorsement from leading architects since its January 2025 release.

Wholesale Manufacturing Excellence Award Winner: Verosol Australia

The Wholesale Manufacturing Excellence Award recognises WSAA members that exemplify the highest standards in wholesale manufacturing — businesses that combine product quality with leadership in innovation, sustainability, workforce development, and operational performance.

Solar-powered facility. Global GreenTag certified products. A zero-landfill commitment. A less than one per cent error rate across operations. Verosol’s credentials speak clearly, but what truly distinguishes them is an end-to-end model that supports clients from specification through to installation and ongoing service, making them a single trusted partner across the full project lifecycle.

Independent Retailer Award Winner: Delux Blinds

The Independent Retailer Award honours an outstanding independently owned and operated window shading business — one that demonstrates strong business acumen, an authentic brand identity, and an unwavering focus on customer experience, without the backing of a franchise or national brand.

From a two-person home operation to a purpose-built factory, showroom, and team of eight in Vermont, Victoria — Delux Blinds has grown by doing the simple things exceptionally well. More than 200 Google reviews averaging a perfect five stars tells its own story.

SuperExpo 2026 Best Stand Awards

With more than 100 exhibitors on the SuperExpo2026 floor, the Best Stand Awards recognised displays that went beyond visual appeal to deliver purposeful, memorable experiences. Pinz took out Best Small Stand while Somfy claimed Best Large Stand. Congratulations to both.
