Strategic Updates and Board Announcements

WSAA CEO Wesley Fawaz presented a progress snapshot of the 2024–2027 Strategic Plan, outlining milestones achieved since its launch earlier in the year. His address underscored WSAA’s focus on driving collaboration, improving industry standards, and advocating for the vital role of shading in Australia’s built environment.

WSAA President Gilbert Da Silva chaired the formal AGM proceedings, which included the successful adoption of the new WSAA Constitution — a significant governance milestone for the association.

The AGM also offered an opportunity to recognise and thank retiring directors Peter Meyer, Frank Cairns, and Geoff Turner for their years of service and leadership on the WSAA Board. Their contributions have played a key role in shaping the association’s strong reputation and enduring member value.
