The WSAA Gala Dinner & Awards Night will return to SuperExpo on Thursday 11 June at The Star, marking a strategic shift from the event’s traditional Friday night slot.
The date change is designed to set an energised tone for the show week, allowing exhibitors and attendees to connect and celebrate industry excellence early in the event calendar, rather than at the end-of-show rush.
“Moving the Gala to Thursday night creates a different dynamic for SuperExpo,” said Wesley Fawaz, CEO of WSAA. “It gives our community the chance to come together at the start of the show, celebrate achievement, and then carry that momentum through the rest of the week.”
Sponsored by Norman Australia, the event is expected to draw more than 500 attendees for a premium celebration of the window shading community. Comedian Dave Hughes will return as MC, with live entertainment provided by The Franky Smart Band throughout the evening.

The Gala will also see the announcement of the latest Hall of Fame inductees, honouring individuals who have made lasting positive contributions to the development of the window shading industry.
This year marks the launch of the inaugural WSAA Awards, recognising excellence across eight categories: Product Sustainability, Corporate Social Responsibility, Community Impact, Product or Service Innovation, Wholesale Manufacturing Excellence, Retail Manufacturing Excellence, Independent Showroom, and Independent Retailer.
“These awards represent a significant step forward in recognising the diverse talent and innovation across our industry,” Fawaz said. “We want to shine a light on the businesses and individuals driving positive change, whether that’s through sustainability, community engagement, or manufacturing excellence.”
Sponsorship opportunities remain available for individual award categories.
Entry details for the WSAA Awards are available on the WSAA website, with submissions closing 2 April. All WSAA members are encouraged to enter.
Tickets to the Gala Dinner are $260 per person or $2,600 for a table of 10, and can be booked via www.superexpo.org.au.
