SuperExpo2026 wrapped up on the Gold Coast last week, and the energy in that room was something else. Close to 4,000 visitors. 109 exhibitors. Three days of connection, conversation and a serious look at where our industry is heading.

Held only once every three years, SuperExpo is Australia's premier window shading and specialist textiles event, jointly hosted by WSAA and the Specialised Textiles Association (STA). It's the one time the full spectrum of our industry comes together under one roof — retailers, manufacturers, fabric innovators, designers, installers, automation specialists and architects, all in one place. From the latest in blinds, awnings, shutters and curtains to smart home technology and technical textiles, it's where the industry comes to discover what's next and connect with the suppliers and partners driving it.

A huge thank you to every sponsor, exhibitor and visitor who made the trip to the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre and a special thank you to our industry partner, the Specialised Textiles Association (STA), and to Phoenix, whose event management expertise helped bring SuperExpo2026 to life.

The celebrations didn't stop on the show floor. WSAA was proud to bring the industry together for the WSAA Gala Dinner, where we also hosted the inaugural WSAA Industry Awards. It was a fantastic opportunity to recognise the individuals, businesses and innovations shaping the future of window shading in Australia, and to celebrate alongside so many industry professionals in one room. The evening also saw the induction of our 2026 Hall of Fame recipients, Robert Mayer and Tony Cassar, honoured for their outstanding contribution to the industry.
